Transform Tension into Connected Communication
Support Your Older Teen as You Navigate This New Phase of Your Relationship
Have you ever felt that uneasy tension in a conversation with your older teen?
Whether it's wondering how to get through to them without pushing them away. Or how to offer guidance in a way that it's well received. Or how to protect them while also supporting their growing independence.
This stage of parenting—where our late teens and young adults step into independence—can feel like a balancing act on shifting ground: a delicate dance between safeguarding, providing support, and honoring their growing autonomy.
For many of us, this phase of parenting puts a spotlight on our outdated patterns that no longer serve, on our blind spots leftover from our own personal histories, or on communication patterns that might benefit from some tweaks and updates.
Without clear roadmaps to reference, it’s easy to feel uncertain, stuck, or disconnected. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. In this live workshop, we’ll explore practical, proven strategies to help you:
Get the tools to turn these challenges into opportunities to deepen trust, offer empowered guidance that’s well-received, and lay the groundwork for stronger communication as you navigate this next stage of parenting without pushing them away.

MEET YOUR GUIDE
What happens when we, as mothers of older teens, are also the adult daughters of emotionally immature mothers?
Hi, I’m Simona Vivi H, head coach at The Center For Remothering and founder of reMothering.org. I specialize in working with adult daughters of emotionally immature mothers... and many of the adult daughters I work with are ALSO mothers of emerging adults.
Unlike the early years, where resources like What to Expect When You’re Expecting offered step-by-step guidance, this stage doesn’t come with a clear manual.
For those of us who didn't receive the kind of empowered guidance we aim to give our children, it can feel like traveling into uncharted territory without a guide or a map.
I wish we could all have inherited a relational toolbox for this stage, but many of us are learning as we grow—right alongside our children. The good news is, these are learnable skills. Time and again, I’ve seen how having the right tools and frameworks at your fingertips can make all the difference. And that’s why I’m so committed to sharing them with you.
In this interactive workshop, I’ll walk you through practical strategies to:
I’m so glad you found your way here. Let's get you the 'trail-map' & the tools you need to navigate the shift to adult-to-adult parenting with clarity and confidence in a way that feels connected, and aligned—for both you and your emerging adult.
I can’t wait to see you in the workshop.
warmly and with so much care,
Simona
